reopen for business

Hmm...this place is a little dusty.

I'm back, but probably only temporarily. At the moment I feel like blogging, but I'll probably get bored again like I did last time.

For a while now I've having all sorts of random thoughts about how I can improve various things -- anything from products to technologies to work policies. Anybody who's known me for a while can probably think of a time where I focused more effort on improving the process than on achieving the result. Hell, most of the time I spent working at the Help Desk in college I was trying to make the place more efficient.

But I couldn't really think of a good way to 'get the word out' so that maybe my ideas could be adopted. I was mostly too lazy to try. Actually, the one or two times I did try I never got a response (thanks Crocs for ignoring my excellent shoe idea).

I realized that, maybe, for me the <i>telling</i> is probably more important than the results. Okay, that's a complete lie, but at least if I can talk about it I won't feel like I'm going to explode.

And what better place to talk about it than on your own blog? I mean, really, what else is this thing good for otherwise? Pshh, nobody actually <i>reads</i> my blog, right?

So, possibly/probably expect a few random posts from me ranting about efficiency and optimization in the near future.
